New in 2018! Junior Flute Ensemble is a new opportunity for younger, less-experienced flutists to work on their skills and ensemble playing in a supportive and nurturing environment. This ensemble is perfect for the student who:

  • Has 1-4 years of playing experience

  • Wants to gain ensemble experience

  • Is interested in improving flute technique

  • May be uncomfortable playing next to adults and advanced flutists

Junior Flute Ensemble is led by HFS Board member and veteran music educator, Candi McDonald. Candi’s nurturing teaching style and her passion for working with young musicians make this a program students will not want to miss!

Our Junior Flute Ensemble will focus on age-appropriate (easy through intermediate level) repertoire, and have opportunities throughout the year to perform at HFS concerts.

Participation in Junior Flute Ensemble is included with HFS Student Membership. Registration is required. Please see available dates below.
