The Finnish flutist Ulla Suokko enjoys a very versatile interntional career and has performed in many of the important scenes of the world. She made her official New York debut in Carnegie Hall as the winner of Artists International competition, and has offered concerts in many European countries, the United States, Mongolia, japan, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Peru, Bolivia. She received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in the famed The Juilliard School in New York, her thesis being Music and Rhetoric in the Baroque.

Special guest: Ulla Suokko

Visiting flutist, Ulla Suokko, will lead a group warm-up leading into our flute choir session.

October 9, 2017 (Discoverers' Day)
6:15-6:45 pm: Warm Up with Ulla Suokko
6:45 pm - 7:45 pm: Flute Choir Reading
7:45 - 8:30pm: Potluck Social (Please bring something small to share, if desired)

Studio 909 at Musicians' Association of Hawaii
949 Kapiolani Blvd.

Street parking on Kapiolani is free after 6pm (please check all posted signs). Limited parking available in the adjacent parking lot. Please enter on Waimanu and follow signs for "Musicians Hall."

Cost

FREE for HFS Members.
Non-members should bring a $5 participation fee (cash or check accepted).
